Untitled Mixed Media
We help you build your idea into something worth painting.
Hand-painted murals and signs in Richmond, Virginia. Most artists paint for themselves. Most sign shops print for speed. I paint for you.
Your building, your story, your business.
You don't need a finished concept to get started.
Selected Work
Here's what nobody in this industry talks about.
Most muralists paint what they want to paint. They walk in with a style. Your wall becomes another canvas for their portfolio. Your story? That's secondary. Their art comes first.
Sign shops work the other way around. Speed and volume. They take your logo, print it on vinyl, slap it on the building, and move to the next job. Your sign is a transaction. Nobody asks what it should mean.
Both produce work that looks fine. Nobody stops for it. Nobody photographs it. Nobody walks in because of it.
That's what happens when the meaning gets skipped.
How we get from your idea to your wall.
We start with questions, not sketches.
Most people reach out with a feeling, not a finished concept. That's fine. That's how it's supposed to work. We sit down and talk about what you're trying to do, what the space means to you, and what the people walking past it should notice. Then I visit the building and study the materials, the architecture, the light, the block. By the end, we know what belongs on your wall.
Render
Reality You see it on your actual wall before we paint anything.
I take everything from discovery and build a photorealistic render showing the finished work on your specific building. Not a sketch on paper. A picture of what your wall will actually look like when it's done. You review it. You tell me what to change. I revise it. Nothing moves forward until you look at it and say, "That's it."
Painted by hand. Documented to the source.
The approved design goes on the wall. Professional-grade paints matched to your surface and Richmond's climate. UV-protective sealant. Anti-graffiti coating where it's needed. When it's finished, you get a Certificate of Provenance documenting where every visual element came from and why. So when someone asks about the work on your building, you can tell them exactly why it looks the way it does.
“Most people don't know exactly what they want when they reach out. That's the best starting point. My job is to listen until I find the idea they couldn't see on their own.”
Landmarks, not lookalikes.
A landmark is the building people use to give directions. "Turn left at the place with the mural." "Park across from the hand-painted sign." It's the building strangers go out of their way to find, the one they photograph and send to friends who've never been to the neighborhood. A landmark signals to the whole block that someone cares about this corner. People notice that. They trust it. They walk in.
A lookalike signals nothing. The vinyl banner that could hang on any storefront in any city. The template mural that looks the same in Richmond as it does in Denver. Your brain processes these the same way it processes a blank wall: as background. Nobody stops. Nobody asks about it. And nobody who owns one has ever been proud of it. The work on your building should be something you brag about, not something you settle for. It should mean something specific to you, so that when someone asks why it looks the way it does, you have a real answer.
I paint landmarks. Murals built from real research into the people and places that matter to the project. Signs painted by hand with the kind of intention you can feel from across the street. Every color documented. Every element traceable to its source. Work that belongs to your building, your block, and your story, and could not be copied onto anyone else's wall.

ExploreStarting at $500 · Hand-painted on wood
Your words, hand-painted on wood. On your wall this week.
Tell me what you want painted: your logo, your name, a phrase that matters to your business. I hand-paint it on a wood panel up to 16 square feet and finish it however you want. Brand new and clean. A little worn in. Or aged like it's been on that wall for 30 years. You pick.
Your $500 includes the panel, professional installation, a protective topcoat, a touch-up kit with your exact paint, and $500 in credit toward any future mural or sign project. If you don't love the finished piece, I take it home. You owe nothing.
